After watching the Gram Parsons DVD documentary I was intrigued to listen to music he created. The album that really stood out to me was "The Gilded Palace Of Sin"(1969) that he made while a member The Flying Burrito Brothers. Once you get past the band name you will be exposed to a brilliant mixture of melancholy country and rock. Give this album a try; you just might be surprised. Gram recorded two solo records after leaving the Burritos and before his death in 1973. They are both highly recommended.
