Below is the trailer for the new Joy Division documentary coming to DVD on March 25th. It is simply titled Joy Division. I was lucky enough to get my hands on an advance copy and have watched it about 10 times now. It contains interviews with the band, rare practice and live performance footage, and even audio of lead singer Ian Curtis talking about a past life while he is under hypnosis.

I'm going to see Control for the third time at the end of this week so I thought I would post another Joy Division recording. "Live Les Bains Douches 12-18-79" is by far one the best live Joy Division recordings I've come across. There is a lot of interesting versions of some of their most well known songs. Give it a try.

I wanted to post some hard to find Joy Division releases in celebration of the new Joy Division movie called Control. In theatres this October, it was directed by the famous Anton Corbijn. If the trailer posted below is any indication of the film it looks like this is going to turn out to be one of my favorite movies of all time.
